Serves as a professor and clinic director for the military-specific clinic, in addition to supervising developing clinical psychologists and continuing research for and with Service Members and Veterans.
Denver Vet Center
Operated on an interdisciplinary behavioral health treatment team working with combat Veterans, survivors of military sexual trauma, and family members of active-duty Service Members. Served as the Military Sexual Trauma Treatment Coordinator.
Minneapolis V.A. Medical Center
Served as a staff psychologist on two treatment teams (the Severe Mental Illness Team and the Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Team) and worked with Veterans with trauma histories and mental health diagnoses.
Boston V.A. Medical Center with the Boston Consortium
Servied as a clinical psychology intern, working within an inpatient unit, substance abuse residential program, PTSD clinic, and child psychology department and clinical fellow affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
On a personal note...

Dr. Barrs lives in Denver, Colorado with her family. She loves hiking around the many trails of Colorado with her Golden Retriever and attending live music shows. She also enjoys yoga, reading, and quality time with friends. Dr. Barrs feels honored to give back to those who have served our country.
